Afterward Jesus found him in the temple and said to him, “See, you are well! Sin no more, that nothing worse may happen to you.” The man went away and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had healed him. And this was why the Jews were persecuting Jesus, because he was doing these things on the Sabbath. But Jesus answered them, “My Father is working until now, and I am working.”
I love how Jesus goes out of His way to find the lame man again and solidify the message. This is so representative of Jesus' heart for humanity. He seeks us out after He heals us — all to ensure that we would live out of this freedom.
I love that He is not just concerned with a one-off miracle but a continual life of total freedom. He is concerned with both our physical & spiritual life: body and soul. Jesus heals him of a physical condition and then later encourages him to “sin no more.” Jesus heals every part of us!
