But Peter said, “I don’t have any silver or gold for you. But I’ll give you what I have. In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene,[a] get up and[b] walk!” 7 Then Peter took the lame man by the right hand and helped him up. And as he did, the man’s feet and ankles were instantly healed and strengthened. 8 He jumped up, stood on his feet, and began to walk! Then, walking, leaping, and praising God, he went into the Temple with them.
How often do we underestimate the power that we have access to? I love what Peter says: “Silver and gold I do not have but what I do have, I give to you.” Each of us has something to offer the world. God has put His Holy Spirit inside of us to bring transformation into people’s lives. This is the type of life that is available for us; it’s the type of life that causes people to look on with awe and wonder.
Yes, I love Peter's response as well! He conveys a level of confidence that only exists when your trust is in the One that never fails. We should all carry this confidence as our lives point to the mercies of Jesus
Exactly. The Holy Spirit is in us for ourselves and for others!
