“They will not hunger or thirst,
Nor will the scorching heat or sun strike them down;
For He who has compassion on them will lead them,
And He will guide them to springs of water.” Isaiah 49:10

IN THE MOMENT // Elvin Kristian

“When you serve Jesus, you serve a plan that will never change.” Ps Josh Kelsey

Every single day is an adventure waiting to happen. Kairos moments where God meets us and changes us are already concealed in our every day walk. We get to partake in experiences that, like a current, lead us in ways that we’ve never dreamed.

The past and worries of the day often stop us in our tracks or rush us to places we don’t need or want to be in. God doesn’t just want to change our outward circumstances, but He puts the resurrection power inside of us. The same power that lifted Lazarus out of the grave after he was declared dead (John 11) brings life in to a crushed and pain-filled heart. The same power that put the stars in place is putting our lives in place with God’s plan.

At times we become too tolerant with the issues that hurt—that inner groan we never speak about, that very thing that we are afraid of, the shame that we are too afraid to expose. While opening the tomb of our hearts might be the hardest decision of our lives, leaving us vulnerable and defenseless, the beauty of it is that God always shelters us with His presence, in His unchanging love.

It may seem insignificant in what you are doing right now, but authority is released to those that wash the feet of others. The people who start with joy are the game changers of our time, shifting the focus from themselves to those who are in need.

Joy is contagious. God is doing great things in His local church. Jesus dreamed about the local church. And serving Jesus in our own neighborhood not only releases our hearts from tensions of this world, but it leaves a mark on the people that we are in contact with.

Friend, there are kairos moments just waiting to happen on every corner of your road. God is the same yesterday, today and forever—and He will not leave you but lead you home.
