Welcome to The Temple Prøject

You realize, don’t you, that you are the temple of God, and God himself is present in you? No one will get by with vandalizing God’s temple, you can be sure of that. God’s temple is sacred — and you, remember, are the temple.

// 1 Corinthians 3:16 [MSG]

We are all temples looking for something to worship

Welcome to The Temple Prøject – a creative exploration of what it means to develop and live a lifestyle of worship.

We want to spend the summer of 2014 exploring what it means to worship.  Starting tomorrow, and continuing for the next 92 days, we will be sharing daily devotionals, artwork, photography, interviews, profiles, and stories of personal discovery from within the C3 Brooklyn community and beyond, together exploring the multi-faceted theme of worship. Our prayer is that our daily exploration and devotion would inspire our Sunday worship and enrich us as a community.

Think about the implications of becoming a vibrant worshiper of Christ: what if we lost our ability to live anxiously because we were too practiced at retaining His peace? What if our first response to a challenge is not to panic, but rather to express gratitude and thanksgiving to Him? How easy would it be to love others, and to believe the best about them, if we have developed Christ-centered hearts in worship?

You can sign up to receive The Temple Prøject daily devotionals, blog posts, and updates.

As we journey together through the The Temple Prøject, we’d love for you to share your own experiences and revelations of developing a worshipful lifestyle.  We invite you to use the hashtag #templeprøject when you post a thought, image or idea in response to what you’re learning about worship.

We know that many in New York City – and perhaps beyond – will see a glimpse of God’s glory as we lift up Jesus in our everyday lives.  Let’s take this opportunity to join together, spread the word, and ask the Lord to reveal to us the true meaning of worship over the next 92 days.

Peace and Love
